Lindsey Schuyler moved to New York to work at Eugenia Kim after graduating from Florida State University and is now known as being behind the major fashion watchdog, Diet Prada. Calling out copycat fashion looks on Instagram as a hobby has landed her a position on Fast Company’s list of 2019’s Most Creative People. Running the account now acts as her full-time job, alongside her work as a freelance fashion designer for various clients. Lindsey creates social media and web content while strategically partnering with select fashion brands and institutions for events and collaborations.
Tony Liu graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago with a degree in fine arts. He moved to New York in 2007 to begin his career in fashion, later becoming the face behind a popular fashion parody account, Diet Prada. The idea for Diet Prada was born out of Liu’s experiences working at Eugenia Kim as a design and product development associate. While at this job, he subsequently launched a menswear collection called “You As” which is sold on its own online retail site as well as Mr. Porter and Opening Ceremony.
Through his education and exposure within the fashion industry, Liu became very familiar with the concepts of major designers, and was quick to notice others copying their original works. Along with his coworker at Eugenia Kim, Lindsey Schuler, they started to find fun in mocking these copied looks through @diet_prada, which he continues to manage.
